Singer Island
Singer Island is located on the Atlantic Coast of Palm Beach County. This beautiful peninsula is lined with gracious condominium towers and hotels that boast beautiful sandy beaches that kiss the Atlantic Ocean. Our itinerary takes us along the Intracoastal Waterway and gives a spectacular view of the skyline along the beach. In addition to multi-million-dollar residences such as the Ritz-Carlton, are also the Marriott Beach Resort and the Hilton Singer Island.
There are numerous restaurants that on Singer Island that offer tiki-bars and steel drum music in the afternoon as you watch the sun sunset on the Intracoastal. Named after Palm Beach developer Paris Singer, a son of Isaac Singer, the Singer Sewing Machine magnate, Singer Island has parks, marinas hiking and bike paths, as well as 4.7 miles of sparkling white sand beaches that have been considered one of the top five beaches in Palm Beach County. Singer Island is home to professional golfer Michelle McGann, a longtime Singer Island Resident.
One of the many attractions on Singer Island is Sailfish Marina. The docks are lined with sportfishing boats that are available for charter. Many world record catches have been made from these boats for sailfish, marlin, tuna and more. The Marina is located just minutes away from the Palm Beach Inlet. Fishing is extraordinary in this area, with the Gulf Stream just 5 miles offshore. You will see a parade of million-dollar fishing boats go out the inlet daily in search of the perfect catch. This is a world-class resort for fishing. The restaurant located in the marina is a wonderful way to end your day. The pristine blue water is teeming with fish swimming next to the dock. The water is so clear you can see the bottom and even feed the fish from the dock. The restaurant has an extensive menu of freshly caught fish as well as a raw bar where you can enjoy shrimp, oysters, clams and stone crabs. Peanut Island is a short ride by water-taxi from Sailfish Marina. This is 79-acre island was created in 1918 and includes a park, campsites and picnic areas. This was also the location of a blast shelter built for President John F. Kennedy in 1961, called locally the Kennedy Bunker.
On the West side of the Intracoastal and directly across from Singer Island are the Mega-yacht marinas including Rybovich Marina. This Marina has unobstructed deep water access from the Atlantic Ocean and provides secure berths for yachts up to 76 meters (225′). They also have floating docks that can accommodate yachts up to 90 meters (270′). Chartering past this Marina is something to be seen. One magnificent yacht after the next.
